Tour of LESEC's Compost Site & Discussion of Composting Operations in NYC

Join the NYC Community Composting Council to learn about composting infrastructure in New York City. We’ll start the evening with a tour of the Lower East Side Ecology Center’s composting site in East River Park. Participants will then have the opportunity to discuss both community-based and municipal scale composting with representatives from the Lower East Side Ecology Center, the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY), and WeCare Organics, LLC, the contractor that manages DSNY’s municipal composting sites.
